Hi, I’m Teresa. I’m 18 years old and live in Bergen, Norway, a city that feels like it was carved out of a dream, with its mountains, rain-soaked streets, and the kind of quiet that makes you reflect. I go to the local school here, and while academics keep me busy, it’s what I do outside the classroom that really defines me.
One of my biggest passions is teaching. I volunteer at Bergen Kristne Grunnskole, helping younger kids with reading, math, and sometimes just being someone they can talk to. It’s not a paid job, but it’s the most rewarding part of my week. Watching a child’s face light up when they finally understand something, that’s magic. I think it’s made me more patient, more empathetic, and maybe even a little wiser.
When I need to recharge, I head to the Fløyen Start district. Hiking there is like therapy. The trails wind through forests and up into the clouds, and every step feels like a conversation with nature. Sometimes I go alone with my headphones, sometimes with friends, but I always come back feeling lighter.
Food? I’m obsessed with Trekroneren. It’s not fancy, but their sausages are legendary. After a long hike or a tough day, grabbing a bite there feels like a reward. It’s Bergen comfort food at its finest.
My older sister Jil is a big part of my life. She works at Star Massage salon, and sometimes I help her out when things get busy. It’s not something I talk about at school, but it’s part of our reality.
